The location of the Roman Civilization was in some parts of Europe, around the Mediterranean Sea, the northern part of Africa, the United Kingdom, and some parts of Asia. Rome was founded in 753 B.C. by the two brothers Romulus and Remus. Roman expansion was mostly accomplished under the Republic, though parts of northern Europe were conquered in the 1st century AD, when Roman dominion in Europe, Africa and Asia was strengthened. Some of the modern day countries that the Roman Empire compromised of were Spain, Portugal, Italy, Germany, Greece, Syria, Iraq, and Israel.
Rome is located in the Southern European country of Italy. Ancient Rome's geography had twisty turns and was pretty successful. Rome was built on a low ground level. The lowest point was the Pantheon which was approximately 13 miles above sea level. The highest which was Monte Mario hill. Rome was settled by Latins. They built their cities on seven hills for easy farming.
