Ancient Roman architecture and technology was very important to roman way of life. Most of the building structures, mechanics, crafted structures, etc. Examples of roman technology would be bridges, roads and military technology. The Roman bridges were the first with an arch, and were also used for military transport.The roads were also used for military transport. Their roads are also long lasting, and most have been there for over 1000 years. The Military Technology was mainly for offensive attack and were more concerned for their artillery. Their defensive side was focused on armor.

Examples of Roman Architecture would be the arch or dome ceiling, many types of housing and buildings and materials used to build all of this. The arch and the dome shaped ceilings were used for extra support and space in building. The Romans had many types of buildings and homes. One of them was a insulae. An insulae was a multi-apartment building and were meant to hold many people.Finally, the materials used the build all of this was either concrete or marble. These were the most common used resources.

The Romans had invented many things that we still use today. Examples of some inventions are the steam engine, concrete, and common roads. The steam engine is used today for machines to be powered. The Romans had also made concrete first by mixing lime, clay and sand. This invention is one of the most important that we use today.Lastly, their roads are also very important because they were the first to cover the top with a more rigid material, such as brick or stone.
